We've Got Your Back

'We've got your back' is an idiom. It essentially is referring to the idea that when we are in a precarious situation, and because we can't easily watch out for everything, especially behind us. It means there is a second set of eyes on the job. A person saying they have your back means they are there to help you out, they will watch out for you, and take care of the things you're likely to miss. Such as the build up of toxins from life-stressors that can create painful knots in the back and shoulders.

Just saying the word massage, brings feelings of relaxation and relief to most people. Why is that? Because massages help us to completely detach from the world and allow our body to enter into a true and deep state of relaxation. Massages allow us to experience being human. Humans need to be touched.

The definition of touch is to bring a bodily part into contact with another individual, especially so as to perceive through the tactile sense the ability to understand or appreciate. Just like a puppy bears its belly to show trust, so a person who bears the back to the masseur, allowing trust to take place. Trust and hope. Hope to connect with another human being, in a pure and healing manner.

Have you ever noticed that medical doctors generally do not touch their patients? The nurses do, and a bond takes place between the nurse and the patient that cannot form with the physician.

Research has proven that the lack of physical affection can actually kill babies. Touch is vital to a newborn baby, as those who are not held, nuzzled, or hugged enough, will literally stop growing. If the situation persists, even though receiving proper nutrition, the baby will die. That is pretty powerful information. Human beings need touch as much as air, food and water.
